Look what happens when you strip off the back reflector on the LCD module of a MP2x00. I replaced it with a material similar to what is used on the Palm Pilot III. (The Daylight pictures taken with a touchscreen over the LCD.)

Focus wasn't so good on my camera, but you can still get the basic impression of how it looked.

• backlight turned on (note the inverted image).
• modified LCD (left) compared to a classic (right)
• modified panel in normal light - not a very good picture :-(

• White EL Backlight - two of them so you can see front and back
• White EL and Apple Green EL - two of them so you can compare
