Voiceturn III
What is Voiceturn
Voiceturn turns a page when a noise is made. VoiceTurn
II was largely implemented (thanks Daniel) and is much improved on the original
Suggested Modifications to VoiceTurn II
- Have the square in the Voiceturn II dialog act as a pause/start
listening button.
- Pause/start would reset the listening from scratch, resetting
any listening problems (e.g. occasional "deafness")
- Have the square in the voiceturn II dialog show something
indicating the number of taps or action determined.
- When minimised have an up/down arrow or other indicator briefly
show near the star indicating the number of taps or action
- Four taps could toggle the overview rather than Notes
- Have the longest number of taps bring the dialog to the front
with the listening on pause
- When an action is interpreted, have it reset the backlight
sleep timer and thereby let the Newton know that the machine is still under
active use (used in conjunction with the previous suggestion)
- When it first interprets a sound, it notices which application
is foremost and only works within that application.
- Have an option for the voiceturn window to sit over the button
bar, rather than on screen where it obscures the material under view
- The voiceturn window should have an option for having large
up/down arrow & smaller overview./indicator buttons. These would all fill
the button bar area where necessary. See suggestions for Bar
Basher
- Add undo
- Display the page number of Newton books or Paperbacks
